So I spent around 10 minutes playing the commander role in Project Reality - I thought being a Squad Leader was stressful, but being in charge of 31 other people? Absolutely, mind-numbingly nerve destroying. Especially when you inadvertently order a transport chopper with 8 guys in it to fly over an area that was, in fact, peppered with anti air.
There are few times I find myself in a game apologizing profusely, this was one of them.
Yes, it's a free mod that's getting a lot of traction (just won 2008 Mod of the year on moddb.com) - It completely changes BF2 in my opinion and puts into a completely realistic light.
All of the above, actually - initially, it was just BF2 with slower movement speed and increased weapon damage, but as the mod progressed they introduced a whole new set of maps, then they moved on to creating completely new classes/factions, and now there are customized kits for very specialized roles. Want to drive a tank? Well, you'll need to get the crewman kit and if you want to fire a gun at the same time someone else has to man the turret.
When seeing a tank in BF2 you would usually just die, respawn with AT, and try to take it out.
When seeing a tank in this game, you RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.

Wow. This is a pretty awesome moment. I'm going to re-install BF2.. and download this mod... and all because of gamerDNA. I'm proud : ) And excited to check this game out.
